Re: PSA: Possible Amazon Address Hack

If I lived in an apartment or condo I would use a locker rather than having the item sitting at my door in the hallway. There are two addresses on my account and they are about one and two blocks away.

Re: PSA: Possible Amazon Address Hack

I guess I panicked and never thought about Amazon itself choosing another address for convenience!

That makes sense. But they should have posted what they were doing on the order page. Our bank card has been compromised so much that any mention of something like this worries me!

It looks like this, so to me it does look like just a suggestion.

Thanks for looking out, but as others have already stated. This is Amazon giving you additional choices, and this has been available for awhile.

I order from Amazon frequently.

I use an Amazon locker location very frequently. Most of my gifts were sent there.

Ever so often a purchase is not able to be sent to the locker and mailed to the house.

I did this to avoid porch pirates especially this time of year.

The Amazon locker I use is inside a Ross store.

@OKPrincess  I have a question. How do you receive the Code to the locker? Is it sent to your email address?

@Sage04

Yes, the code is sent by e-mail and text and you have three days to pick up your items or they will be automatically returned.

Thanks very much @icezeus . That's what I though. That means if someone were to hack into your Amazon account and have the item diverted to a locker, they will also have to hack into your email to get the Code. It's easier to follow the PRIME vehicle.

Re: PSA: Possible Amazon Address Hack

My apartment complex has an Amazon locker and it's also used by UPS, FEDEX, USPS and others.
