Re: PREDICTIONS FOR WINTER TEMPERATURES!

I really hate summers now.  We've been having another heat wave.  We had storms a while ago, but it looks like it will steam up again.  My husband loves summer, but he's been a bit quiet with all this heat.  Horribel.  Today it felt like 104F

Re: PREDICTIONS FOR WINTER TEMPERATURES!

I have three very large conifers on my property, blue spruces and also a Douglas fir. This past few weeks there has been an unbelievable abundance of cones falling to the ground. It's almost scary. I can't remember ever seeing that many cones on the ground until now. Some say it's a sign of a coming very long and cold winter season.

@Xivambala  If it actually cools down. Running the AC during the winter is just....no. Lol.

Feels like 103F today.  One degree cooler than yesterday.  More round of storms too.  Doesn't really cool off. Days are all alike.  Searing heat, afternoon storms, searing heat, afternoon storms, etc.

Isn't it strange how different the maps are and what they are predicting!

While I think the Farmer's Almanac is quaint, I tend to lean toward the weather scientists at NOAA.

Yep, there's a saying----very hot summer, very cold winter....as weather temps even out....I just hope Texas doesnt get an artic storm like we had in February 2021...I dont think they've really solved the issues we encountered back then, but I dont mind some 40 degree temperatures and temps near freezing....especially after the long hot summer we've had this year....

If you're in Texas, I don't think Abbott fixed the grid.  More of the same if he didn't

Here in South Texas the Farmers Almanaac and NOAA are both are "off their mark"....I like the way one channel here breaks down the Texas Region into 4 Zones which is the most accurate, so I will wait for their "winter forecast".....NOAA's problem is they always combine SA and with Austin and weather in the two cities is totally different....so their forecast tend to be really OFF....SMH
