POWER MAINTENANCE OUTAGE UPDATE

We made it through and I am so glad it is behind us.  The power went out at 9:10 p.m.  It was still in the 80's outside so we left the house closed up.  By about 11:00 p.m. the outside temp had dropped to 76 so we opened the windows.  About 11:30 p.m. a strong very warm breeze kicked up dropping the humidity by 30% and raising the temp back into the 80's.  Uncomfortable.  This continued until about 4:30 a.m. and the temp slowly dropped to 75 around 5:30 a.m.  The power went back on about 6:00 a.m.  It was a long, sleepless and very warm night.  It was so boring as we had no TV, no internet, etc.  House and garage fridge are working and portable phones are charging.  Thank you to all for your suggestions and kindness, it was appreciated.

Re: POWER MAINTENANCE OUTAGE UPDATE

Glad to know everything went as planned.

With the overnight temps, it sounds like just a couple of fans might have really helped and made it comfortable. We don't have air conditioning and nights in the 70's with humidity can be restless for sure with no air movement.

We don't have battery operated fans, but based on everything people were suggesting about your situation, I'm going to see just what is available out there. We have a generator, but my mom does not. So a fan or two might be warranted for her house, if they make them in something besides a personal size.

Re: POWER MAINTENANCE OUTAGE UPDATE

I'm sorry it was so uncomfortable, @WORKING GAL, but glad that it wasn't worse.  Thanks for the update!   Here's to cooler days and nights in the future!
