Ever since the Homeland Security went into effect we need to show up at DMV with 6 points of ID every time we need to renew our license. At some point you do get a one time pass and can renew by mail then next time you're right back to showing up with all the paperwork.
I know, they know who I am because of last time and the time before,

So no jury duty if you don't update your ID?

Let's not forget to bring not only breakfast but, lunch & dinner plus a sleeping bag along w/your 6 points of ID. Cause you will be there a looooooooooooong time standing OUTSIDE in a long line. At least you will be entertained by the ARMED state troopers controlling the folks who do NOT have their 6 points & being escorted outside and/or into the paddy wagons which are lined up in the parking lot. ![]()
I have a passport. Yet I still need to show up w/my SS card, birth certificate w/the RAISED seal, bills to prove address, etc.
NJ has NOT started issuing Real ID's yet.

@jackthebear In Maryland, we are able to schedule an appointment on line. Back when I got my RealID, the line for those with appointments amounted to about 6 or less. The regular line seemed to go on forever. So thankful that I made an appointment.

@Spurt Ok so it looks like if you already presented ID's before they will be on file.
My next renewal I can go online so I'll have to check if I can get the star that way.
Thanks.

I'll use my passport until my DL needs to be renewed in a few years.
For the poster who received a jury summons but didn't respond because she was heading to Florida, you can delay jury duty instead of ignoring the summons.

Yep, the system will let you know. When I went online to renew online the system told me I had to go in person.....
