good thing about a text.....i can respond when it is convenient for me.

if i am on the phone i am stuck........and it could be a LONG phone call.

I'd way rather text than talk. The only person I talk to on the phone is my mom. All others, text.  Email over making a phone call. Was the same way at work. Do not call me. Send me an email!

@MyGirlsMomTotally agree!  Also, if I'm driving to a resturant to meet you and you're driving too, call me, don't text!  I have to pull off to read it.  (How'd you text while driving, anyway???!!)

Not true, but honestly if your phone is disabled .............how would you know if someone texted or called you when when you didn't want to 'talk'?

I always prefer texting!!! I really hate phone calls. I don't even answer my phone if I don't recognize the number.

At the moment I don’t text.  I have a flip phone which I don’t use very often.  I know I’m still in dinosaur territory.  I can see where it would be very handy though.  I feel a little out of sync with my friends at times and have been thinking it’s probably time to update my phone.

I got a ♥ in this thread so I came back.

just adding that when planning a group activity texting is the only way to go.  everyone can see the info at the same time.

Versus the old way of one person calling everyone....
