Re: PAYPAL USERS… HEADS UP

Having worked in graphics most of my life, that black logo makes no sense to me.  It's not a logo--it's a typeface.

I checked my PP account this morning and it still has the same blue logo. I got no email indicating they had a new Logo.

Are you sure the one you see is legit?

Someone sent me money today and it was on the page when I clicked through to sign in and accept. They are still using the old logo too.

I just logged in again this morning.  I still have the double P, one black and one blue, but now the new black PayPal is on their home page.

It's still always a good idea to go directly to their website to log in rather than clicking on a link in an E-mail.

All you have to do is look at what the email address is, which is usually NOT a Paypal address or any sort.  It's a dead giveaway.

I ALWAYS send spam emails directly to Paypal so they can disable the website they came from.

The address to forward the emails to is spoof@paypal.com.

They immediately confirm receipt and thank you for helping keep things safe.

@Tinkrbl44 Most of the ones I get, Yahoo Mail sends to my Spam folder.  I check that about once a week since occasionally, they send something there that is not spam.  And i may check it if I'm expecting an E-mail I haven't yet gotten.

That E-mail response thanking you is an auto-generated message.  By now, I would think everybody knows about those fake E-mails.  I get at least 2 or 3 Payment Declined E-mails in my spam folder daily.  Oh, and I've won a bunch of stuff or if I don't respond I'll be locked out of my Amazon account of my iCloud account, the one I never use.  I'm not even sure I could get into it if I wanted to.  Something has been wrong with that since before I got this computer, so there's nothing in there.  I don't trust any cloud with my stuff.
