In addition to the stay at home order in effect until April 30th, our Gov. has closed all schools and non-essential businesses indifintely.
He also requested PA be a. federal disaster area. I read the request was granted.
I see no end in sight for this whole mess. I feel horrible for all those who are ill and their families.
All hospital personnel from the doctors all the way down to the janitors. First responders etc.
I don't know how they deal with this on a daily basis without what they need to protect themselves.

Last week, our governor declared school dismissed for the year. However, schools are preparing summer lesson plans and they're working to get tablets and internet access to students who have neither. Much of our state is remote so I'm not sure how they'll do that. All non-essential businesses are closed, restaurants closed except for delivery and take out, no gatherings of more than 5 people. Hospitals in good shape, however they will be erecting a big Army field hospital tent just in case it's needed. We only have 281 cases so far and some of them have recovered.

@Kachina624 I just read an article on your state this morning. The Governor is afraid the virus is hitting the tribal nations very hard. She is afraid some of them may be wiped out according to the article. Hopefully everyone is every state can work together to get this virus out of here.

Since tribal lands are solverign territory, the governor has no control over what happens there. However, yesterday the governor of the Navajo Nation imposed an 8pm curfew to keep people at home. It took some arm-twisting to get the tribes to close their casinos but they eventually all did. I haven't heard anything about the situation with other tribes.

The hardest part for me is that the lady I have been taking care of for years went into the hospital in December. She was released to a nursing home for rehab, and now is stuck there.
I can't visit her and her health insurance has run out of SNF benefits. The SNF will not release her now. It looks like she will have to go on Medicaid. Her stay is over $18,000 a month.
I have been doing her laundry and now I can't. The rehab center has lost some of her her clothing and a favorite blanket. She calls me crying a few times a week. I want to help, but my hands are tied. I can't go in to help her. Her room has no TV and no phone. She has a cell, but forgets to charge it for days
The rehab has stopped giving her PT and she is regressing. I am afraid she will never be able to go home again and her home will have to be sold along with all of her belongings without giving her any control. I am very upset and sad over this.
I can't wait for things to go back to normal. Indefinitely is a long time.
