Hey, thanks, thoughtful @SharkE -- that could be quite interesting!

I was pleased to see you on the Jimmy Cagney thread, and meant to chat, but got distracted.  I know you've been spending more time on your "royal" online sites, but just want you to know you've been missed here!

You're so right about Steve Cochran.  Very much a "matinee idol" type, so handsome.  Kind of explosive and unpredictable  I always wondered why he didn't have a bit bigger career.  He was far more magnetic than a lot of other actors who did.  Remember him in that film where Merle Oberon was an older, sophisticated but neurotic heiress with a super-controlling brother.  Steve Cochran showed up and sparks flew!

Hoping all goes well with you and yours, and we get to see you a bit more around here.

Oh, my goodness,  @SharkE ,   I am shocked and so sorry to hear that-  my deepest condolences to you.  I had no idea.  What a difficult time this has been for you.

I used to enjoy your occasional references to your husband in various threads.   Hoping that you will continue to stay in touch, and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Take care, dear @SharkE , and if you'd like, please give a shout-out here-- any time-- you're in the mood to talk. Heart

Thinking of you and sending prayers.    Oznell

I'm very sorry for your loss, Sharke.   Life as you knew it is forever changed, and it is painful to go on without your love.  I know, having lost my beloved husband years ago.

Courage..

I give thanks to the Lord that he went fast Got him to the hospital died in 2 hrs of massive coronary.  They sent bill for 77,000 to Medicare ! what could all they have done in 2 hrs.

Any rate praise God  after what i have to pay it goes to supplement

shouldn't be much. Course I got billed for other stuff too , but, after supplement weighs in don't think I will be hit to hard.

The stuff you have to go thru staggers the imagination. Keeps one busy though.

Your husband was blessed to go quickly.  I agree with you.  Mine fought to live for about two weeks after being intubated following a botched surgery on his lungs.  Cancer.

It all happened so fast, though.  I expected to bring him home from the hospital.  I'll never forget when we returned from the hospital and turned on to our exit from Route 66 to go home.  We were without him.

$77,000 in two hours.  Stunning.

Sorry for your loss, too. I look around and say as bad as it was I see others in worse shape. So, try not to dwell on it. I thought of the Queen and how it must had been for her to be on display for the whole world

and how she kept going. I know that's strange, but, we get strength where we can.

Thank you.

I don't think your thought about the Queen is strange at all.  She was an inspiration to so many with her strength.  Queen Elizabeth is a fine example of a woman of strength and discipline.

@SharkE  and @golding76 ,  blessings to you both.  Your comments about loss and "going on" are wise and thoughtful.
