Everyone and everything is "amazing" these days - when very few actually are.

I don't like phrases that used to mean something bad, and now means something really good. For example:
That's sick !
That's ridiculous !
You murdered it !

I continue to hate awesome most ....SB hosted one night and at 10 I stopped counting....very few things inspire awe for me, particularly a piece of clothing or makeup

Permission to play.
Boots on the ground.
Thats sick
You can't go wrong
Pop of color
I don't need anyone to tell me I have permission to play, I can figure that out all by myself. They are not just boots on the ground, they our the soldiers protecting us and fighting to keep us free. Thats sick? I will leave that phrase to to the teens. Sometimes you can go wrong and well, it can look---wrong. We all know by now that a scarf or some other color besides black or gray will give you that pop of color. Those our my phrases that make me cringe.

Agreed! Along those same lines, I think the word "brilliant" is overused, especially in the music industry. I just don't like it when a person says that so-and-so's rendition of a particular song was "brilliant". Really? Maybe it was well sung; maybe it was artistically beautiful, but "brilliant"?
