In this house it is written in stone that toilet paper rolls over.   However I have instructed the others who live in this house who are often too lazy to replace the roll, just to sit the roll there, pick it up and roll it off in whatever direction makes you happy.

I never knew this was such a sore subject with people before. I never paid attention one way or the other, just hung the new roll up.

Then one day (after 20 years of marriage) my husband said something about having to replace the empty roll, and some passive aggressive comment about at least getting it right (and I still don't know whether he prefers under or over).

WHAT. EVER.

I don't notice and I don't have a preference.

This must be one of the most asked questions here.  

As for my house - OVER on mine, but I don't go into my husband's bathroom so he can do whatever he wants.

that's all we use is charmin.  no one has ever told us that.
