I like to hear words that are seldom used.  I have to just say the word sometimes it feels so good.

Not watching the news, mostly now, I don't hear the overuse of words.

My pet peeve is still, for someone to be asked a question, and they start their answer, with, SO.  I wish they'd say, well, or something else.  I heard it so much for awhile, I began to use it. LOL.  I need to not do that! LOL

"Invite" as a noun. Is it just too much to say "invitation" now? We can't manage 4-syllable words anymore? I don't get it.

@PreKteacher Indeed, we are dealng with either lazy english or the bastardization of the english language, either way it truly is ugly (e.g., vaca).

I hated young people using the phrase

"No problem!".    Now adults use that phrase.

Just thought of another one that I haven't heard in awhile...it makes my teeth hurt:

"wait for it"........uh, no!
