"I picked up"-(name of item)-
this probably originally started by hosts.
sounds like someone sits around all day ordering from QVC and just sounds oh we're in the know of the lingo around here-
No, you bought it. No one picked up anything!
"on the day" was this started by LIsa?
I liked her but this sounds so dumb!
Oh and for people that say get a life or if this is all you have to worry about-
You are reading these too and are on the forums obviously!
- We all "have a life"(those included who say this) but for so many of us this is a great way to laugh, de-stress, learn, exchange with each other etc.
Putting down what others do for distractions for awhile from lifes inevitable hard things is thinking yourself above the rest of your fellow human beings.
Do you really want to be there? It gets lonely up there.
Amen sister! I enjoy reading these posts & agree it's a good de-stresser & distraction from the day's events. This is a forum & many things are discussed.

When asked a question the person starts their answer with "yeah no".

This continues to annoy me, and well-educated people say it: "l was like" instead of "l said."
Which sounds better?: "I was like, no way!" OR "l said, no way!" ![]()

FABRICATION
Look it up in a dictionary, it does not mean fabric or cloth!
Here is the definition in the Merriam Webster dictionary:
fabrication
nounfab·ri·ca·tion\ˌfa-bri-ˈkā-shən\
1 : the act or process of fabricating
2 : a product of fabrication; especially : lie, falsehood

My my teenage daughter when she did something wrong "well, can't do anything about it now" aaaahhhhhhh 😡. Last time she had that attitude she had cause our phone bill to have over $600.00 in text charges and when we showed her the bill, that's what she said while texting! She never had a phone again until she turned 18 and paid for it herself. Taking away a teenage girls phone is a sight to see.
We had to do the same prolem with our son. We almost died when we saw a $500.00 cell phone bill when he was 15. However, we did decide to give him back a cell phone for safety reasons and becasue he did after school activities and needed to remain in contact with us. However, we did put restrictons on the new phone plan through the server so he couldn't go over the allowed minutes. So, he had to be careful and we monitored his use. I don't think those plans exist any longer. This was 15 years ago when you didn't even have the ability to access internet through your cell phone. Now, I don't bellieve threre are any plans that DON'T INCLUDE INTERNET ACCESS!!

Thank you! I had an English ( language arts) teacher for two years who was a real stickler for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. My mother was the same; if I misspoke I was told about it so I am very aware of improper grammar, written or spoken.
