That was started with a telephone company ad. Reach out and touch someone.[yes I am that old] LOL
@hellie jo LOL
I thought it stemmed from the 1968 "Reach Out of the Darkness" by Friend and Lover.

Nothing burger, what goes around comes around, everything happens for a reason. In contrast, the phrase «merde happens» (merde is French for #2) is closer to my beliefs.

But when “I seen it” is spoken, that drives me nuts. I believe it is the most common grammar mistake I hear on the Q, right up there with “these ones.”
"I seen it" not only makes me scream but also makes me pull my hair out!

This made me laugh because I might have the same kind of word but I'm going to say it-
"Enjoy!"
It's used so much and I usually feel like, "Don''t tell me what to do lol! and no, I may not like it!
and "Life is good" (well no it isn't always and I think it sounds like bragging or well good for you, the rest of the world must be doing something wrong
!
I also hate (yes, I mean hate) "easy peasy"
"stinkin cute"
no problem -
"I done..."
and others also mentioned.
I told my daughter who majored in English! That "these ones" is not correct.-It's redundant.
However I have heard another of her generation using it and I read that this is used in the UK or that in the US it could be regional. I first heard it from her and have only recently heard it from others.

Also the ones started by hosts on QVC (at least I've never heard them anywhere else)
"I grabbed a -(name of item)
-this sounds so rude😒
"I picked up"-(name of item)-
this probably originally started by hosts.
sounds like someone sits around all day ordering from QVC and just sounds oh we're in the know of the lingo around here-
No, you bought it. No one picked up anything!
"on the day" was this started by LIsa?
I liked her but this sounds so dumb!
Oh and for people that say get a life or if this is all you have to worry about-
You are reading these too and are on the forums obviously!
- We all "have a life"(those included who say this) but for so many of us this is a great way to laugh, de-stress, learn, exchange with each other etc.
Putting down what others do for distractions for awhile from lifes inevitable hard things is thinking yourself above the rest of your fellow human beings.
Do you really want to be there? It gets lonely up there.
Sometimes the most insignificant, mundane things people discuss from nails to grammar, to tv shows and beyond, are the best stress relievers!

"With all due respect" ...
Almost always coupled with an insult or unsolicited advice!

Overuse of the word "issue." Just call a problem a problem, and stop trying to soft-pedal it!
Not knowing the proper usage of "you and me" vs. "you and l." Ugh. Basic elementary school grammar!
