Not just as a sales pitch.  It's a defence on Judge Judy, constantly said in schools. An expression in politics, Urban street talk etc.

The one my son started using a few months ago, he ends every sentence with - "you know what I mean" literally every sentence. The other night my husband did it, I wanted to scream. I told him to never That again.

My my teenage daughter when she did something wrong "well, can't do anything about it now" aaaahhhhhhh 😡. Last time she had that attitude she had cause our phone bill to have over $600.00 in text charges and when we showed her the bill, that's what she said while texting! She never had a phone again until she turned 18 and paid for it herself. Taking away a teenage girls phone is a sight to see.

I said it as a teen.  Everyone said in my generation and this one.  It's a midewest creation, but it's said everywhere.

@barefootwillowI agree.  I thanked someone coming to Christmas celebration and she said "no problem."  I get that in stores too.  "You are welcome" is a much better response.

I'm pretty much a 'live and let live' person, but when I hear 'stinkin' cute' I actually cringe.

If somebody, for example on QVC, says that I am out and I'm not coming back!    Just no.

I'd never actually heard that until I heard it on QVC, so I don't know where it comes from (although I can guess), but - well, just WHY?  Smiley Frustrated
