Either Florida or Louisanna, Ga. bayou areas. I don't want any water around me  'cept from the sky.

@SharkE.   On a hot steamy July day years ago, my sister and I visited Brazos Bend State Park just south of Houston.  They had a lake and we decided to walk around it in a wooded area on a nice path 20-30 ft from the water.  There were alligators all over that place.  A sign advised staying 15ft from them.  They were very lethargic lazing in the hot sun and didn't pay any attention to us.  They were smallish....mostly about 4ft long

Did you know Texas had alligators?
