At least it is only going to be less than 50 soldiers, not the tens of thousands we had in the other 2 wars. These will be all special forces.

If you don't want to see our soldiers going over there - keep it in mind when you chose who you are going to vote for.

Absolutely.  Remember how we got there in the first place!  It's a Shame.

I'm just saying to actually LISTEN to what these politican are saying. It isn't at all difficult to figure out which ones are for and which ones against escalating the wars in the middle east. Vote accordingly. IMO - there is no other issue at all as important as this one. And think, seriously, how much longer can they keep up with this war before they are going to have to restart the draft, and I bet if they do - they will be drafting men and women so daughters won't be safe from it.Women want equality in rights - equality in responsibility goes with that.

This saddens me. I am all about peace! My prayers are and always will be with our military and their families.

I am not for all wars.  Viet Nam is a good example of getting into a war war we weren't going to win.  I am, however, all for helping protect Israel and keeping evil at bay.  I am hoping the rest of the world will join in to help us do that....even Russia.  I am not holding my breath.  This move our President made may be too little....too late.  It is hard to tell.  There are no easy answers that's for sure.

If we would decide not to get involved, then we need to really pump up our military and our borders and get ready to protect ourselves like Israel has to.   We could learn some lessons from them.  Their military is stronger than ours.  Of course, protecting a country as big as ours will take a lot of money and a lot of sacrifice on our part.  Are we willing to do that??  I am not so sure "hunkering down" is the answer when the whole world (not just the middle east) is threatened?????

Jubilant, did you mean to say that the Israeli military is stronger than the US ?

Last I checked, we had the biggest and most powerful military in the world.

You have sacrificed nothing and no one.

******** I did say that....sorry!  What I should have said is that they are better and stronger with homeland security and we should be learning from them.
