Im so sad. I awoke to find our one cat dead. She was just over 16 years old. She was my favorite of all the cats since I met my husband in 1999. He would bring her to my apartment back then. She loved car rides and believe it or not a little bit of spaghetti. She never meowed but she would squeak and answer me every time I called her name. You could brush her, clean her teeth and do anything and she never hissed, scratched or made a peep of anger. So SWEET.

She had a tumor (for over a year) and was doing wonderful, and still eating and all until 2 days ago when she looked weak and sluggish.

My husband wrapped her in a quilt this morning before work and left me a note saying honey I know youre upset reading this, but Im sorry (she) may not make it until I get home from work. She looks bad, I hate to leave but I cant stay home because my boss is out, so I wrapped her in a little blanket in the blue room upstairs. Ill be home soon. I love you.

I ran to check and there she was... dead in her little quilt ;-( I debated and debated and even called my friend and made the decision not to call DH at work because he would get upset and rush home and theres nothing he can do. When he gets in (shortly) we will take her to the vet for cremation. We are married almost 5 years and have lost 4 cats in the past 3 years. (they were all older and his cats first).

Now we have 4 cats left (2 of which he rescued before the other cats died). No more cats, this is just too overwhelming as they age and get sick.

Thanks for listening.
