Truly one of the most heartbreaking things we go through in life, is letting go of our pets. They depend on us so (even though there are some that act like they don't!), and give us love unconditionally. They are forgiving of our faults. They fill our lives with comfort, joy, love, and make anyplace we are with them, a home.

I'm so sorry you have to experience this. We tend, at this time, to feel sorrow, guilt (like couldn't we have done more to keep them longer), pain, and yet a sense of blessing that we got to have them, even if too short a time.

Kitty was so blessed that you found her and she had such a long happy life with your family. 

I hope time will help heal your pain, and that the fond memories along with the love of those still with you will comfort you in the days and weeks to come.

@Shorty2U, feel the love that surrounds you here, we are all a family of those who love our pets without condition or measure and know your pain.
