Okay, this probably won't be of interest to anyone here on the forum, but I find the last 3 words in this "newswriter's tag" at the bottom of a newspaper report of a very sad child drowning quite odd.  It certainly strikes me as borderline unprofessional.

That whole profile was at the bottom of a newstory that she wrote? I've never seen anything like that, at least that I recall. Generally, it's just name and maybe link to social media.

I have no negative reaction to the gin, but if the article is about the child, why do we need the reporter's hobbies at all?  That whole paragraph seems tacked on and it reminds me of student work when someone needed words to meet minimum requirements and had to find something to say even if the content was only tangentially related.
