Osteoporosis - anyone have it?

I had a bone density test done yesterday and my doctor called today to tell me that the test showed that I had osteoporosis. She referred me to a rheumatologist and I just scheduled an appointment for next week.

The thought of taking Fosamax or any of the bone building meds really sets me on edge.

Does anyone have any insights or thoughts on this?
