Oregon Parents Neglecting their Toddler Due to Their Religion ~~

apparently the little one, Alyana, 17 months old, has a tumor the size of a baseball and the parents refused to take toddler to the doctor, even when the eye was pushed out of the socket. after treatment, the toddler is now with a forster family and parents may get 5 years enprisonment (to me very linient). apparently there is a religious organization/ church in Oregon that prevents medical assistance, as if they will get the help, they will be ousted by this church. how can one despite it all, rather lose a child, as has been proven some children previously had simple conditions which could have easily been healed, yet fully refused a child's treatment... goes beyond me. "Followers of Christ Church" is the name of this church. has anyone heard of this before?
