I'm a watch collector of sorts and learned a lot about different brands while participating on the Watch Collector's Forum here.  There have been a million ads for watches for graduation and Mother's Day gifts.  You click on one ad and 12 others will pop up.

I got a real tic (pun intended) for a new watch, researched it and chose one, a sleek modern model in white stainless.   I ordered it Sunday night, it shipped yesterday, it's now Tuesday and will be delivered tomorrow via FedEx.  It's coming from the suburban area near Copenhagen, Denmark where the big airport is located .  I had to look it up.

Why can't other shippers do that?  For free?  I hope it's beautiful and works out well.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

I didn't actually order from the Facebook ad.  I went to the company's website where I could peruse specifications and options as well as country of origin.  You must be very careful.

I find things on FB from time to time that I want as well, but I will order nothing from FB. Like you. I find the companies website, review the details and order directly from the companies website if it seems legitimate.

The latest ad that I saw that was in my feed was from Cacique. I went to the website and purchased, and had my order shipped to the store for free.

Easy..peasy.

@Kachina624   That's exciting, both finding a new watch and that it is shipping very quickly.  If you want to share the maker please tell.

I purchased 50 mostly new never worn watches this week, most are Judith Ripka and a smattering of Ecclissi and Mizrahi.  Keeping 1 Ripka.

Now finding a decent place/price for battery replacement, my guy retired.

Do you replace your own batteries?

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

I have found the ads that show up in my newsfeed to be more legit than the ones that show up in the column on the right, but I still would 1. check out the company and 2. order directly rather than ordering from the ad.  Luckily, I have an app that hides them all, at least for now.

You are so smart to order from the website and not from the FB ad. I am beginning to think most FB ads are bogus scams. The same company seems to be at the root of many of them and I wonder why they are allowed to keep posting them. They occasionally do one they say is from QVC but it isn't. I hope you enjoy your new watch; it sounds beautiful.

@rockygems123    No, I don't replace batteries.  We have a great local independent jewelry store with a silversmith.  I take in fists full of watches.  The owner approached me one day and said if I'd bring in 20, they would replace the batteries for $100. or $5. each.  I'd try negotiating with a local jeweler.  Most places give a quantity discount.

@Kachina624  when I read your Post I thought you had lost it because I always thought of you as been a very smart person lol.

Second Post told me that you are really smart and that I was right.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

@rockygems123   The company is Nordgreen in Denmark.  Here is the watch.  It comes with mesh and a leather band.  I also ordered a metal link band.  I prefer a white dial but often can't read silver hands on a white dial so ordered black.

Re: Ordering from Facebook Ads

@Kachina624  Nice watch! I love watches. I have about ten of them, but need to take six of them for batteries. My son's always ask me why I wear a watch when I have a phone to check the time, but it's just not the same.💖
