@kivah:  We recently bought a nearly new car at a local dealer.  As part of the package they have us the Car Fax on our car (even with that we looked at it very carefully inside and out).  Didn't feel the need to take this one to our mechanic but normally we would.  We have had it four months (five thousand miles) and it is as advertised.
