I would like to see companies offer a delayed shipping option.

There are so many sales now and my purchases are not for gifting so I don't need speedy shipping. In fact I would prefer to not have to hawk my porch for deliveries.

This often happens with Q-TSV. I would like the item at the price but might be planning to be away from home to accept package. Yes, you can stop mail if one knows for sure how it is being delivered. Yes, I could ship it elsewhere.

Re: Option for delayed shipping

@granddi I believe you answered your own question. I too am away from home at times when a delivery will most likely happen. I have to have it delivered elsewhere. I don't really prefer this but this is my only option and I just deal with it if I want the special price offered. Otherwise, I just wait until I will return home to buy.

I do purchase from many other online retailers and none allow me to choose a shipping date with the exception of some food retailers. So, I don't see this as an option, especially with QVC.

Re: Option for delayed shipping

I believe there are certain food items that you can choose your delivery date on. But, as a general rule I think it is the buyer's responsibility to change delivery options witihin your USPS or UPS account.  I know I have the ability to do so if needed. It would probably be a shipping nightmare for companies to manage.

Sometimes Amazon offers this option and in return you get a digital credit. I use mine for Kindle books.

Re: Option for delayed shipping

I would love delayed shipping! I would also love the option of express shipping. I'm sure the cost would be steep for express delivery, but would love the choice. There were several Kim Gravel items I wanted to order, but didn't because I am going out of town soon. I don't have trusted neighbors to watch my deliveries. The post office holds my mail, but QVC uses the US postal service and UPS and we have no idea which shipping method will be used.

@QVCkitty1 that's not a delayed shipping where you choose the ship date.  That is a possible delayed shipping so all, or many, items can all be included in one box.

Re: Option for delayed shipping

Back before Christmas, I was given an option of a ship date for an item I was buying . I wasn't buying it for Christmas, so I chose the not express shipping option.  It wasn't such that I could choose the day to ship or deliver.  I just figured I wasn't in a rush, so I could wait a little longer.  However, the shipping costs for the not express shipping was around twice as much, so I decided to go with the express shipping option instead.
