@GenXmuse wrote:Every magazine cover is stylized and photoshopped even models who are seemingly perfect. Not sure why Oprah’s would not have the same treatment.
It’s a gorgeous cover!
Sometimes I just don't understand the comments but then I remember comments about "others" and I'm not surprised.

Really??? I admire what she has done for herself and to herself, but she has been so overexposed!!
I really liked her show when it first began, but then there was just too much Oprah. She was everywhere ...every magazine, news story, televison show. Just got so tired of her. In my eye, she is a has-been, kind of like Geraldo Rivera. They are there -- but who cares???
Yes really ,people that feel the need to bash some one ,or make bad comments should look at them selves.

‘...overexposed...’
I don’t see how positivity, self-wellness & hope can be overdone.
Her life’s work embodies all that.
Our World needs it...especially in this current time.

Our world needs Oprah? I would need an explanation on that comment. I guess it depends on whose world you are living in. She plays no part in mine.
She is a famous, rich, and powerful figure to some I guess, but the focus on her looks is shallow and unimportant in my world.

O. has been all over the map since her show ended....I guess she is trying different ventures to see what works, or what gives her happiness!

That tells me that so far nothing has worked! I'm sure she is happy though, what is not there not to be happy about?

I see no reason to bash her at all, if we all could just be as kind and care about people as she does ,she is smart and worked her way up, through the ranks .

Well, no bad comments nor bashing here. I said I admired her, but am so tired of her. Been there, done that - she is just not "news" anymore.

Professionally applied makeup? Sure
Digital touchups? Of course
The fact is....the essence of a person can NOT be altered with
makeup or photoshopped.
Oprah is foundationally a really pretty lady.
She knows how to move in front of a camera.
Even watching her live...the camera agrees w/ her.
....and with that, I’m sure someone will post a
‘‘Stars without Makeup’ pic. 3-2-1...
I have to disagree with you. Photoshop can raise a woman's cheek bones and make them more pronounced. Photoshop can get rid of the bags under the eyes and correct the symmetry of the face, the tone, erase blemishes and spots, broken capillaries. Oprah does not look like that picture on the cover of Vogue.
07-03-2018 05:13 PM
But the video in post #41 when she was at the wedding
is clearly along the lines of the Vogue cover. She has cheekbones
in the screenshot at the wedding.
If you’ve ever done camerawork, it’s easy to turn your head,
work with shadows, angle your body....you can look totally
different...any experienced model knows how to do that.
Even the raw photos will look much, much different
than the person standing right next to you in real life.
Was the cover digital altered to change the facial structure?
It’s not like a photographer will take Oprah & raise her cheekbones
and all of a sudden she looks like Halle Berry. That’s impossible
to do. The ‘bad’ pic you posted foundationally looks
the same as the cover. As for bags, blemishes, spots, etc...
any model knows the photographer will freshen up the raw photo.
She’s a pretty lady...no matter how one likes to slice it.
But then, emotion can change a person WAY more than photoshop.
I guess I don’t have that ‘filter’ even for the people I don’t care for.
