Tonight one of my sons, who is grown, was stopped at a DUI checkpoint. His drivers license is pending (long story), but the judge knows the reasons for this, and everything will be cleared up when my son submits disablilty papers. Anyway, that info evidently had not been updated in the "system" so the police didn't believe him. They pulled him out of the car, frisked him, found one pill which he has a prescription for and gave him a hassle about it. They took the car and left him to fend for himself. He told them he is a Type 1 diabetic plus has severe back injuries and they didn't believe any of it. He needed his insulin and he was left to walk about a mile to a gas station. Now, I am just furious over this. No AS much the drivers license part, but the health issues involved in the situation. What do you think?
