They could still "escape" the topic and be on this board, too.
I think it's too much work for the moderators to keep up with a political forum.

Ehh...
I've been reading along with the comments and didn't see anything like that here. Maybe I missed it? Or maybe it's commentary of an observation from some other place since you mentioned it often sums up the world today. I just found it confusing in regard to this thread.

The same can be said for every forum here except the Gamers. Every single forum topic is clear as a bell (Shoes, Pet Lovers, Beauty, etc). There are still knock-down-drag'em-outs about cosmetics, hair care and hosts & vendors. Anyone can skip any forum. But they don't.
If for some bizarre reason QVC would create a Politics forum and hid it like Gamers...oh, wait...they would have no logical reason to do so. Just no reason that either a political or a religious forum needs to be, by nature, on a shopping channel website.

Well, yeah, that's why I said that of course, it won't happen here. Can't happen on a board where anything "controversial" is verboten.

Sometimes things are better left unsaid in certain places, situations, etc. Easier to go direct to the news, and plenty of other places elsewhere.

It was a general observation. It's certainly true of many of the posts (and presumably the posters) all over these forums. It isn't something people will literally say, but their words often express it clearly, especially in regard to what they do/don't want to see on QVC, and how frequently and predictably they rant about the same thing(s) and clearly expect everyone will/should see it their way. Any "Dress Code" thread is a prime example ;-)
People want something, they should have it. Without going all semantic and calling out certain posts in this thread, I see it in this thread as well. Something doesn't have to be literally spelled out to be felt.
We could have it, but for "other people." Always, the fault of others that "we" can't have what we "should" have.

It's kind of odd to me that this question keeps coming up over and over and over and over and over, and is answered even more times than that (same answers, because it's pretty simple), especially when there are a million places online where one can discuss political stuff.
I have a couple of boards where I participate in discussions of a political nature, and other current events. I don't need to be able to discuss it everywhere I go, but maybe that's just me. ![]()

@Moonchilde thanks for your reply. ![]()
I see your point and appreciate the claification. Some days I need more of it than others and today is one of those days!

Basically, we (in the world and here) just cannot seem to 'get along' re: certain subject matter. So, keeping this in mind, it's just better to leave well enough alone (on these boards). Jmo, of course, right or wrong.
