That is tonight. A blue moon occurs when there are two full moons within a calendar month. This second full moon is closer to the earth than usual. The moon will appear larger and brighter than a typical full moon. It is a super full moon and will occur Ausust 30 and 31. It should be in full bloom about 9:30 ET.

Anything you have been saying could happen once in a blue blue just might happen in these two days.

@Judaline You and I posted the same title within 2 or 3 minutes. We had a once in a blue moon moment. I will ask the mods to delete my post that I was writing while you posted.

It will last two days. Probably you will have a good view at dark tonight regardless of time.

Thank you!  I didn't realize it would last that long.

2 posts on the same subject is ok.  But you can delete your post yourself, if you want to.

@chrystaltree I tried to delete by tapping the three dots. The delete choice was not there. Then I tried edit, but it would not delete. I did this after I had a second post. I think it was too late at that point. Oh, well. The mods have left it, so I guess it is OK.

This super moon is a big deal. I am excited to see it. I remember a previous one which was spectacular.
