If I eat too much turkey then I am too tired to do all the clean up so I keep it light today (though I am a stuffing fanatic) and pig out tomorrow on leftovers. Today is all about serving my guests and getting it all on the table and then cleaned up for me. 

I get to relax more for Christmas dinner because DH makes the roast and the veggies in one pan so I don't have much to do.

Ha!  If I can find some small ray of light in being the only one who has to do all the work, I guess it's that by the time I am finished I can eat very little.    I'm just too exhausted, from the big shopping trip on Monday and three days of prep and cooking.    

One year I was so tired I couldn't even eat a bite.  I just wanted to sit down - or die right then and there.  hehe -  But since I spread it out to the 4 day deal I do now and it makes a huge difference.  But still - can't really eat much of anything when I'm finished.

My husband, OTOH, will often eat two plates of food that day.  I don't know how he does it.  Even when I wasn't like I am now I could never eat two plates of food.  He enjoys it and that's pretty much what's it about.
