DS still uses his flip phone. He prefers it.

I've had my smart phone for a couple of years now, but every time I am watching NCIS and "Gibbs" phone rings, I jump. His phone has the exact ringtone my old flip phone had.

My husband still uses a flip phone and he likes it that way. It has a big rubber thing around it because with his job he drops his quite often.

You sent your first text today?? I'm so proud of you! My dad actually just got his first smart phone too. He's been texting for awhile, though... slowly... but he gets it done. Haha.

I just got a smart phone in October, I was always a target for laughs with my older phone. Shrugs.....

ivanatrump: ATT, which we already had. Yes, they transferred our old phones - same number and all the contacts. My sim card still had "Cingular" on it - that's how old it was. LOL!

No contract since I brought in my own phone and DH bought one there that has no contract. Some of the higher end prices like Samsung and LG - you do have to have a contract but the HTC, Nokia, ZTE and one other brand no contract required.

We both have unlimited talk, text; data per month is 300gb but unused does not roll over. They do offer that in their "Next plan".

I was told that it is better to go to an actual ATT store and not to an ATT franchise - I guess the franchises are more limited??

Cakers1, I am with ATT also but am not sure that makes any difference. My daughter downloaded something called Zedge. This app has many different free ringtones available. You can probably find one you like on it. I chose windchimes because it was soft and didn't startle me even when set on loud.

I have the Zedge app. as well. Each one of my regular contacts have a specific ring tone.
