Friends...it wasn't even the Last Supper. It was drag queen fashion show. The person in the middle was running the music. The others (way more than 12) were standing along both sides of the catwalk while the fashion show unfolded. And BTW, did you see the model who walked on pointe? Wow!

I thought the opening ceremony was not the best.  I missed the first 20 minutes but did see the drag queens representing to me the first supper. Very distasteful in my opinion. Thought the boats were kind of cool. The mechanical horse was very cool. Celine was beautiful!  Probably won't watch the games. Just my thoughts. 

On a side note our state of Utah won the bid for the 2034 Winter Games. Very excited for that! They were held here in 2002.

I enjoyed the opening ceremony. The French did it their way! Really like seeing all the building architecture in Paris. I did miss the Parade of Nations in the traditional way though. It really would showcase their outfits. The end was my favorite when the Olympic Flame was lit and finally the Celine Dion performance.

I also thought it was wonderful. I did not care for lady Gaga's performance, but read she had problems with sound. The rest was a feast for the eyes and ears. Reading about the symbolism in many of the displays enhanced my understanding of French history and culture. Very well done, imo🍾💕

@Estellee  I thought that yesterday was Sunday, so one more day until The Bachelorette for me  .  Ooh we'll be popcorn twins on Monday ! 

    Have you been enjoying the olympic games? I watched swimming, mens canoeing, table tennis, men's boxing, and surfing yesterday! The canoeing was so cool- I've never seen it on TV before and France created a motorized river course for them to compete.  The core strength on these hunks while they were canoeing down this fast river course was amazing! Table tennis was so hard to focus on since NBC had a televized grid shot of 4 matches going on at the same time and I had to keep moving my eyes up, down, left right just to try to see all of the matches and then I just had to give up and focus on one match at a time .
