I love olives. If I buy them canned I usually take them out and put them in a bottle with olive oil, spices and herbs as well as lemon slices. We eat them here like candy!

I have never liked olives.  Apparently they are a popular food because many grocery stores have special areas with bins where customers can self-serve the varieties they love.

LOL ....  every time I walk by the Olive Section, there is never anyone there.  I often wonder WHO is buying them that the store justified setting up that kind of display space just for olives.   Who eats them?

Personally, I hate green olives ... can't stand the smell of them either.  OTOH, I really like the black ones, usually in salads or on pizza.

@AngusandBuddhasMom your description reminds me of growing up and putting a package of peanuts in my Dr. Pepper, the bottle kind.  Did that for years back decades ago.......

I love olives, green and black.  I keep some of each at all times and eat them for snacks.  I also add them to various dishes.

I love all kinds of olives.  I am a frequent visitor to the olive bar at my market.  I enjoy them sliced in salads or just a few for a snack.

Our beloved and now departed A&P had a large Olive Bar with at least a dozen varieties all the time.

They were WONDERFUL, green, black, brown, red stuffed, unstuffed......

I often made a meal of just olives and some other veggie.

Olives and olive oil are considered very healthy food, but for me was the unfortunate downside that they were horrifically salty! Reduced salt olives can be bought, but for the olive passion Isra they don't compare to the salted ones.

Still, even in memory, olives rate an enthusiastic YEA!!!!!!!!!
