The older I get, the more I realize that there are no guarantees in life. My father ate right, worked out, kept his weight down, and died of cancer at 76, My mother, on the other hand, never worked out, ate terribly, was obese for most of her life, and is still sharp as a tack at 96. Her parents died at 62 and 72. I stopped wondering why and just enjoy having my mom at my own advanced age of almost 72. And I do agree with the 112 year old man that a little alcohol can be a good thing.
