DEFINITELY! Anyone who hasn't set up their account for e-mail notifications on purchases yet should make sure they get it done. Saved me thousands of dollars and aggravation.

I set up a text alert. As soon as I buy something, I get an almost immediate text. When it ships, I get a text. When it's out for delivery, I get a text.

I get the alerts, also, but I don't think that's the motivation. There's been a lot of nasty stuff done on this board late at night for several years, including inappropriate photos. IMO it's all the same person.

That's interesting, Noel. I think the person I had in mind (the one with "many employees" and who complained at length about boring threads) is different from the one you reference. Although s/he was famous for late-night rants, it didn't occur to me the same person might be behind those photos, but then we may never know.

I looked in to Viewpoints in the wee, early hours of Saturday and saw numerous old threads, with Boosta listed as last reply......I opened to read, and realized s/he was just being troll-y and bumping......but then I checked her stats, and at that point she had around 248 posts accumulated....so I gave her the benefit of the doubt......trolls who bump usually don't have hundreds of posts, right?........I looked at her profile and I think her sign-up date was Oct 14 or 15?........then I clicked on her posts starting from the very first one.....ALL of them, across viewpoints, beauty, fashion, kitchen, etc, were bumps!.........just goes to show that number of posts don't indicate a legit poster versus a troublemaker......Boosta was on a mission to disrupt!.......

whoever does this IMO is quite computer literate and is capable of more treacherous activities. I don't think it is possible to bring up thread after thread individually just to test and bump it to the front in a short period of time.

I, too, think someone very smart knows how to "decode" language and make one entry on multiple pages. I am not that computer literate but I know there are many people who are. I would certainly think that the board police would know how to investigate this hacker's IP address and ban it altogether.

Sounds complicated to me, why would someone go to the trouble of doing this? I know trolls are really bad but they are usually not that intelligent.

I agree, Cakers and cody. I've never heard of those other names, but it's not Mellie's "style" so to speak.
