Re: Ok, so now, your first concert?

Fun question, nothing to do with current events.

First concert could have been The Monkees (1965, Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix) or James Brown, I think in PHX or LA. They were in the same general time period; JB may have been 1st.

Tho the memory is kind of fuzzy as to chronology of things from when I was 14-15 yrs old, I remember what I wore to the Monkees concert: A  a dark red & navy print "granny dress," my wire rim "granny glasses" (so cool!) and dark red suede ballet flats with a little strap across the instep. Loved fashion trends back in the day, not so much any more.

Re: Ok, so now, your first concert?

My family lived 25 minutes outside NYC.  From 1968-1971 my friends and I went into the city almost every weekend to the Fillmore East. Tickets were about $7 to see three bands.  I can't remember who I saw first but the ones I can't forget are The Doors, Jimi Hendrix,Fleetwood Mac, The Band, Eric Clapton,Janis Joplin, Zeppelin, Steppenwolf. I'm so lucky, just amazing times looking back on it.  The music still stands up today.

Loved Dave Clark Five.  Saw them very early with Chuck Berry at Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis.

I have their album, "Having a Wild Weekend."

Such handsome young men!
