Yes, my husband did, but got no answer and answering machine didn't pick up.

However, all is good.  Her husband showed up about 7pm.  Gosh I felt sorry for him, he said he had 18 more deliveries.  We're very non traditional and got her coconut cream pie.  It is better than my mothers.  And for only $13.00 with free delivery it is well worth it.

Ooooh!  Even better.  Coconut cream pie is my favorite.   You can eat some for me, too.  Smiley Happy

So glad you got your Pie in time!!  I know I'm in the minority but I'm not much of a pie or dessert eater (except for cheesecake),  I'm a meat & potatoes girl!!!

@BabyYoda Thank you for asking.  DH & I just cut it and had a piece.  Yes, it was delicious.   I should have posted a picture.  Her meringue topped pies are magazine picture worthy.   She's a young woman and  bakes for several local restaurants and also participates in our farmers markets.  She has developed quite a following.  She told me her recipes are those of her grandmother.

Oh dear.  The coconut cream pie didn't have meringue on it, did it?   That's just wrong.   Marie Callenders used to do that and you had to pay $2 extra to get rid of the meringue and put whipped cream on it, like it should have been.   It was pretty good, though, once they fixed it.  Smiley Happy

@chickenbutt

Yes, it has merigue.  I guess its what one grows up with.  We like merigue on our lemon and cream pies.  I like whipped cream on pumpkin and key lime pie.  Vanilla or cinnamon ice cream only on a heated piece of carmel apple walnut pie.  Other fruit pies, I prefer plain.
