I ordered the American Girl doll for my granddaughter's birthday. I have been tracking it and on Saturday, it said delivered. I went outside and looked. No package. I checked all around the house. I asked DH if he brought it in, and he said no.
Now I am an avid on line shopper, so I get numerous packages. I have never had a problem of anyone taking the packages or of them not being delivered.
I called the post office today and they said that my regular postman left the package where he usually leaves them. But there is not package.
This doll costs more money than I wanted to spend but, you know, grandmas spoil grandchildren, lol. Also she will be very, very disappointed. I just don't know what to do.
I really don't want to be out the money for the lost doll and then have to order another one. Is the post office responsible for the missing package, or, once delivered, is it out of there hands. Any suggestions as to what I can do to better this unfortunate mishap? Thanks, ladies.
