They don't even know who these people are.  After the photo, they disappeared.

Not if he's in a photograph.  D'uh.

Duh, they didn't know they were being photographed.  The photographer didn't even know who they were and they disappeared right after the picture was taken.

@Cakers3  Although, as I was writing that response, I was thinking of that real-life "stupid criminal" in the news recently who  used his mug shot as his Facebook photo!  ROTFLMAO!  Smiley Happy

@hopi

No worries it is a little like an optical illusion looking at the photo.  If you have ever been there  it doesnt look quite that harrowing.    In fact it is different.  They used to have the firefalls there every night. A fire crew built and then shoved a huge bonfire over the edge after dark, and it was beautiful. However, as the country came to their senses about such dangers, and the 70's drought raged on....they discontinued it.  But on certain days people are allowed up there with rangers near by for the view.

It's a stunning photo @momtochloe. Very artistic and au courant.

Don't let the naysayers get to you, it's a stable rock formation, unlike the jutting piece below that's so familiar in photos today.

Shots like that are very popular in Norway.  That country has amazing geologic rock formations.  They are often taken at an advantageous angle.
