This time it's my hips--again. They were replaced 6 years ago and they should last 20 years but they've been pretty achy for about 6 months, off and on. Time to make another round of doctors visits, and I'll bet I've worn a rut to and from every medical imaging office on the east side (Seattle area).

My medical philosophy, which I should abandon because it's never done me any good, is that if I ignore it long enough it'll go away. This has never worked for me in the past and I don't know why I keep thinking that way.

If I find out that the implants have to be replaced, I think I'll cut my own wrists and lay down and die and get it over with.

But I have to have them checked out because my husband is going to be retiring soon. We have the best insurance possible so I might as well use my coverage while I still have it.

But, boy, am I dreading it.
