This often happens with antibiotics. I usually just call the vet, and he prescribes a different antibiotic. And as for the food, I found that my cat would eat the kibble too fast and get it stuck in her throat, and up it would come. I finally started buying Royal Canin Oral Sensitive formula for cats. It has much bigger kibble which meant she had to stop and chew before she swallowed. No more getting it caught and barfing it up.
RCG, Ms Kitty does that too. I have to make sure the kibble is bigger so she can not swallow it whole. I also have to make sure her bowl does not get completely empty, or she gobbles and throws up. She thinks it's bad enough that I don't replace the kibble every time she takes a bite or two.
