my beautiful Mr. Lucky. He is all curled up in the bed he has had since he was a tiny little kitten. My sister got it for him when she had him....waiting for me to get to her place to get him.....
He so looked like a siamese when I got him......and what a shocker he turned out to be......He is simply one beautiful cat. Three years old, and a big boy. He thinks he owns everything in his sight.
Have so much fun with him.

Yes, he does bring me a lot of joy......
My sister's neighbor found him in the street in front of her house. She had 2 dogs and she knew my sister had a cat.....and just thought maybe she would want to take him in. He was only about 6 weeks old at that time. My sister told her neighbor that she couldn't bring a kitten to live with her permanently because her cat was too old to do that to...... So, she decided to bring him into be with her. Made him a bed out in the garage for that night. She knew he had to be hungry, but her cat only eats dry food..... She called her neighbor behind her and asked her if she had any wet cat food. She did and brought it over. Sis said he ate all that she gave him like there was no tomorrow.
She called the vet first thing in the AM and got him in. He was just about 6 or 7 weeks old. In good health, but covered with fleas. They gave him a bath and treated him for the fleas. Then she took him. They did want a followup appointment and said they would begin the shots at that time.
After she got him settled with a temporary litter box, she went to the pet store to get things she needed for him, including the baby bed he still sleeps in.
She knew she had to find him a home ASAP. Got her thinking cap on and called me. Told me all about him and had her friend come over to take a few pictures of him and they sent them to me via e-mail. He was adorable. She said he is yours if you want him. I will keep him in the guest room until you come.
She had made arrangements for me to go down to San Antonio prior to all of this...... The minute I saw him in person, I loved him. We knew we had to give him a name. It didn't take long for that. I said he was so lucky to get to be in his home until I could get there, so I named him MR. LUCKY. I was there for 2 weeks and we really bonded well in that length of time. Made arrangements with the airlines so that he could fly back with me. Had to buy a small carrying case for him that would fit under the seat in front of me. It cost $82 to fly him to St. Louis. He was so good on the plane, and believe me, he was happy to get out of that carrier. Didn't take him long to adjust to my apartment. I had to make a visit to the pet store for his supplies because I didn't have things here for a small kitten. That was fun.
And now he rules the roost......LOL

@mantaraye......I know it got long, but knew you all would be wondering where he came from and how he did get his name.
I have a few presents for him in the morning. Hope he likes everything I got him.
I have a team of girls that come to clean my apartment every 2 weeks because I can't do it any more. They know they have to find his toys before they use the vac. The one girl just loves him and laughs everytime she finds his toys.

@ShowMeWhat a sweet story!
I'm not a cat person, but there were cats here when we moved here ~ one of them is a gorgeous, long-haired black cat my daughter named "Cash" (the "Man in Black" she loves Johnny Cash) ~ he is gorgeous.

If you want to see what he looked like when he was a baby, go to ShowMe's Mr.Lucky thread.....the first thing on there is a picture of him.
