Re: Offensive Cookies?

[ Edited ]

I think a lot if the "horrified", "deeply offended" "shocked", "disturbed", etc. proclamations from people about the "total shock of the minute" (whatever the * it is) are (1) Because mommy and daddy told them, long ago, that they "had a right to be heard" and no one could stop them; and (2) Because they want/need/crave/demand ATTENTION of any kind, at any cost. And they are aided and abetted by the cluelessly vague and banal who will jump up and defend any perceived underdog anywhere.

Those scarves kind of look like the symbol for "pi."  Starbucks must have made them as an attack on religion and Christmas by bringing up science! LOL!  Bloody polar bears?  Come ON!  Why are people such amadons?

I learned a new word, @PeterDM

"Amadon" = simpleton, idiot (or "eejit" - another word I love!)

Thanks!

Lol.  It seems Starbucks can't win for anything.

Now customers are offended by their polar bear cookies.  They say the scarf looks like dripping blood.

I'm beginning to think someone from Dunkin' Donuts is starting all this controversy.  Lol.

These polar bear cookies at Starbucks look like they've all had their throats slit.

This is the same problem with camera angles QVC is having lately.  Why place the camera at such a high angle?  Everything is out of proportion and awkward.

Actually, to think this is at all blood is absurd in the greatest degree.  No animal smiles when it is bleeding.

Common sense is endangered in the US.  What on earth is wrong with people?  I worry about the gene pool here.

I'm not even a Starbucks fan (I prefer another chain), but I would happily munch on those yummy-looking cookies.
