Re: Odor Elimination on Blouse

Soak the underarm areas with vodka, let sit a while, then rinse thoroughly. Hope this works for you!

Here's a thread on another forum that has some good tips.

Ivory bar soap. Make a paste with water and apply to the inside underarms of the blouse. Let sit for an hour or more. Then use a liquid laundry detergent (unscented). Also, you can add Borax/Boraxo to the wash tub. Let sit for another hour, then rinse well. I would wash it by hand in a small tub, so you can easily let the blouse set as described. If I run across other tips, I'll post. Also, check out the Web.....there could be other much better suggestions.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I would NEVER donate an item that stinks!

Just throw it away...

Re: Odor Elimination on Blouse

If I've washed it twice and still can't get the odor out, I would just throw it away.

I wouldn't donate it.

You're right about not donating it. Hadn't thought of it that way. It's in the trash.

Re: Odor Elimination on Blouse

So all of you who are saying don't donate, are you saying every article of clothing, including coats, hats, shoes, furs, linens, etc., in the Good Will type stores are laundered, dry cleaned, spot and odor free, and are ready to wear and use? Are all the sofas in clean shape with upholstery having no spots, stains or odors? Those stores would be empty if everyone donating had the same opinion as you.

Re: Odor Elimination on Blouse

Easiest solution = take it to a drycleaner.

Someone above was right if she washed it first she may have set the smell. That happens w stains too.
