Love oatmeal (not flavored) with sugar and milk!!!  I don't eat it except in the winter, a little too warm!

Here's a good visual from left/right from top/bottom.

Oat Groats being the best to quick/instant/flour

being the most processed.

Yes. I eat oatmeal for breakfast in winter. I also like cream of wheat and grits. I do not eat cold cereal. It is not that I don't like cold cereal but do not eat to avoid the added sugar and calories from milk. I will overeat all day if I eat sugar for breakfast.

@Iwantcoffee  I avoid calories from sugar and milk by eating a non-sweetened cereal with unsweetened almond milk (30 calories a cup) and an artificial sweetener.  I prefer the taste of almond milk to dairy.  I most often eat oatmeal (quick oats) with a sliced banana prepared in the micro or in summer, I mix the milk and oats and leave in refrigerator overnight, eating it cold.  I always add a dash of cinnamon.

@Kachina624 Would you share with me a cereal that does not have added sugar? Thanks!

I like oatmeal with milk and a little brown sugar.  I also like to add blueberries and have it with a piece of buttered toast and coffee.

Oatmeal is the okra of the grain world.

@noodleann  My dad used to call it the S&S, for slick and slimy.  I like it anyway, okra too.

We put half cup of oatmeal in a jar, cover with less than half cup of milk, a tea. Of sugar and a dash of cinnamon, let in frig overnight and heat in microwave in the morning or eat cold, it tastes like rice pudding cold.

I love it since a kid but I do miss the butter and sugar bowls I grew up.  The man on box is the same.
