It is with a very heavy heart that I want to share for those who have been following my brother Tommy's story that he passed away during the night. I am heartbroken but at the same time relieved because he has suffered for too long. Tommy is now with our Dad and his son.I want to thank all of you who have been so kind and praying for my brother.

Oh dear friend, my heart breaks for you as I write this; yours must be aching something fierce for your beloved brother. What a strong man, what an inspiration in the way he fought -- not just during this last crisis, but against all the obstacles throughout his life that you relayed to us.

He's now in the kingdom of all that is good and brilliant and free of pain or cares, as he deserves to be. I hope you can feel our "cyber hugs," as Libby would say, for they convey the same comfort as would the real thing in person. Our loving prayers continue for you and your family, that in time, you can feel peace.

Beauty Junkie, I am so very, very sorry to hear this! I hope that when the first bitterness of pain has passed that the knowledge that your brother is healed and whole again will give you some comfort, but in the meantime please take comfort in knowing that your friends here are holding you close in their hearts, with love and sympathy for what I know is a terrible loss. (My baby brother died of hypoglycemic shock six years ago last month, and not a day goes by I don't miss him, but at least I know he no longer struggles with his diabetes and intervertebral disk and spinal damage and pain, and that is a small comfort.)
