McDonald's  has something similar - Chicken McGriddles. A chicken patty between two maple-flavored griddle cakes.

ETA:  I tried this sandwich.
Verdict: Hey Montana!  She likes it!

First McDonald's meal I've had in years.

I never quite understood the concept of chicken and waffles.  But when a chicken and waffles place opened near me I had to try it.  The chicken was delicious.  The waffles were delicious.  But I still don't get eating them together.

I wouldn't eat that either.  Blech.

@suzyQ3, let me help you with that.

No it's not okay.

Yes it is shaming.

Yes you are too uptight.

No you don't enjoy life enough.

Listen, I can eat some junky food.  I'm not a food snob and I don't have a problem with this because it's from KFC or because of the calorie content.  It seriously just doesn't appeal to me.  That's all.

In my mind chicken and waffles is one of those things that got put together because that's all they had available at the time and were hungry!

@silkyk we had a cat that was out of his mind for chicken livers!  He would pace the kitchen waiting for them to cook and cool.
