@proudlyfromNJ   I think one of many reasons it bothers me is because ...... well...I'm reminded of something my mother used to say, "She likes to hear herself talk".

With me I think (as I've said) I'm a frustrated writer.  I've been told I should have a blog, write a book or something, but I don't because I'm too lazy.

So I come here and bloviate instead....I go on and on (sometimes totally off subject) and suddenly a big red or orange thing comes up and says "NO POSTING HERE" whatever....

I just need to go on about my business (something I'm not good at) and (as my daughter's tease me "Move away from the computer".  Ha!

I do enjoy reading everyone's posts.  This forum has helped me to monitor (or police) myself and try ever so hard to be a kinder....more gentle soul...but I don't think it's working.....I could give you examples....but it might get deleted....

I think QVC needs to get another spelling book.  It keeps telling me one of my favorite words..."bloviate" is spelled incorrectly.  It's happened with a lot of words but that's one of my favorite words....

Dear QVC, this isn't the 5th grade, we do know .25 cent words here.

There have been times when I'm in the middle of writting a witty (at least my very humble opinion! *lol*) response to a thread, when all of a sudden a banner will come up and let's me know that the thread has been closed.

I just go, "Oh, well", and move on with my life.

I figure, it's their sandbox, and they get to make the rules.

I figure that if it was that upsetting to me that I couldn't post everything that my heart desires, well, the Internet is a very big place, and I'm sure that there's a another place where I can post what I want to post.

And if I can't find what I'm looking for?

Easy!

Create a bulletin board where I and others can, and then I can run it exactly the way that I want!

I find people so sensitive that it is difficult to know what to say at times.I have learned from reading here that you should not comment on a persons weight even when they are losing it.i was on vacation in Canada and noticed an old friend had lost weight but said nothing about that to her.She later asked me why I didn’t comment.I told her that I thought she always looked beautiful past and present but she said it was rude of me not to say anything when she had worked so hard at weight loss.

It just happened to me. I quoted the post I was responding to,then posted my answer, hit post and I got the message. I went back and looked at the thread, it was still there but the post I quoted was gone. That’s why I got the message as my post was also gone. I guess we can’t post anything negative about Markie Mark.

@MoonieBaby  Free speech does not apply to QVC forums which are privately owned. They chose what they can delete if they don’t want it on their forum. Same for HSN.
