I recall, before our cable became all HD, that everything just looked too wide. Consequently, everyBODY looked wider than they should.

With HD you get a much more accurate view of people and things, in terms of proportion.

I don't think any really looked "fat" but after watching them for years it's just a surprise!!! All hosts are gorgeous anyway. Especially adore Nancy & Gab. I did notice some of the hgtv guys looks more "defined" on that station.

It all depends on the aspect ratio of your tv and that of the program. If you have the old 4:3 aspect ratio tvs you can choose to still watch modern widesceen tv shows in widescreen and then things are true to size. If you choose full screen on a 4:3 tv then you are going to get that stretched look. It's your choice. It's the same way how if I wanted to, I could watch the stand definition channel of QVC in 4:3 on my widescreen tv. Of course I don't.

I took a quick look at them, i agree I do not like them. They just look to clunky. She looks better in a sleeker high heel (in my opinion).
