I asked a question on the other thread. Candace's first dance was terrific but I soon grew very tired of the constant reference to her religious background. We get it, but we don't have to reminded every time we see her footage imo. If you ask me, James and/or Charlie should be standing in her place.

I think that most of these "america votes" shows boil down to popularity not necessarily skills. I see it on the Voice right now, as the country kid isn't really that good, but Blake is popular, so people vote for Blake's guy, not really the best singer.

I've never watched Dancing. but have tuned in a couple of times this year, and I don't have a problem with the religious references I've seen because it is part of the fabric of who Candace is. I've seen just as much talk about the prosthetics the one lady is using, because that is part of who she is. I think part of the draw of these shows is getting people involved in who the contestants are outside of the venue of performing. That will naturally lead to people who are like them or admire their journey to vote for them, talented or not.

Meryl is a good dancer. Too me she lacks personality or something. She is there because of Maks. Is she adoptive? Her parents don't look anything like her. She is pretty.

I don't watch the show but maybe she had a lot votes from those who believe as she does.

It's just entertainment and a popularity thing, imo.

Judges can't give her zeroes for footwork since she doesn't have any feet. That wouldn't be fair to her.

I'd be happy with either Candace or Amy winning. Both have far exceeded my expectations for them. Meryl is by far the best dancer, but I honestly doubt she'd be there now if she'd been teamed up with a less popular pro. She's someone who just seems a bit blank on her own.

Agree with everything you said except the bolded sentence. When it was all said and done, I would have liked James to win based upon his dancing.

Should be very interesting tonight, no matter who wins. For me, I hope it is Meryl. I can't help it. I just like her the best of those who remain. She just mesmerizes me every time she hits the floor.

I hope Amy is second (she really IS amazing) and that Candace is third. Candace has come a lot way and I give her props for that, but she is not as good as Meryl or Amy. However, you never know. Anything is certainly possible this year.

I don't think it matters who has dance experience and who doesn't. The show assembles an eclectic group and then the race is on. Really good dancers (Sabrina Bryan for one) have been voted off way too early before (and will be again). I can remember being really shocked when Brandy left early. It happens often.

I try not to get too upset over who goes or stays (until it was Charlie, LOL. However, I am over it now. He will be okay).

It's just an entertainment show when all is said and done.

Being a really good dancer is no guarantee at all you will stay. Being not so good is no guarantee you will leave. Candace's journey reminds me of Bristol P., who continued to stay week after week.

Or maybe it's because Bristol also danced with Mark Ballas.

Really, the best possible scenario for me would have been for Charlie to be dancing for that trophy tonight. Alas....

Is it true he will be dancing with Meryl tonight? That will be great. I too love his sweet smile. What a gentleman he seems to be.

I am going to enjoy tonight no matter how it comes down. Bring it on!!!

We don't get to see/hear all. I don't believe Candace wasn't concerned and upset for Mark. Yes, she has some FH fans and Mark has some fans, but IMO the only reason she is still there is because people of the same faith are voting for her....period!! At least she really is trying and can dance without Mark holding her.

I'm voting for Meryl/Maks also. If Amy were to win, I will never watch this show again. I've said it before, it's one thing for the public to vote for their favorite and it being a popularity contest and I have learned to accept that, but when you have the judges playing these games of over scoring and manipulating the #'s, that's total BS!

I agree I want Meryl and Maks to win. Do not like Amy and Derek. I think they should of been gone way before Charlie or James.

I definitely want Meryl/Maks to win, in fact they got all of my votes. I don't understand how Candace is still around when Charlie, James, Danica, etc. have gone home. I don't believe it is because of her statements about her faith. Instead, I think it is all of her "Full House" fans who are keeping her around. I do not want to see Derek win again, and especially with Amy. He has manipulated the proceedings this whole season and he is very adept at camouflaging all of Amy's shortcomings. Kudos to her for even coming on to dance, but DWTS needs to stop casting people with disabilities because they are unfairly judged. Amy has not been judged as all of the others have. Example: Charlie drops his cane a few weeks ago and gets called out for it and his score is downgraded. Derek and Amy mess up a move with a table last week and they still get 10s. How is that fair? Anyway, Charlie and Meryl are dancing together tonight; I can't wait to see that!!
