Great tree! In Albuquerque, the transition is much quicker. Just as we're enjoying our trees' autumn colors, a cold snap will come along and all the leaves will start falling. Usually takes less than a day to go bare.

What a beautiful tree in the fall.

@just bee In NE Ohio, they often hang onto the trees for dear life until we get a really windy day in late November........then, whoosh! They're all miraculously on my back patio (I have no trees within 50 yds of me)!

Oh my, yes, big difference. Beautiful photos.
In my area I notice a big change from the beginning of Nov to the end of Nov. At the beginning of the month I was still photographing flowers and butterflies. By the end of the month everything was gone. I don't like this time of year but it is what it is. I'm looking forward to spring.

What a difference indeed. That reminds me of a series of pictures I have. In our old house, the pictures were placed on the wall going up the staircase. We had a huge oak tree on our front lawn and one year for Christmas, a family friend who is an amateur photographer gave us 4 pictures of that tree taken in each of the 4 seasons. That was one of the best Christmas gifts we ever received. I should pull them out of storage and see if I can have them reframed, something lighter and airier to match the decor of this house. We have no staircase but I might be able to find a way to display them as a group.
